Bluetti Dazzles CES With 4 New Power Stations

Not even Omicron is powerful enough to put the brakes on CES 2022; all of our favorite brands are putting on the Ritz, both in person and digitally, including BLUETTI, the smart home power solution of champions. What does the brand have in store for us this year?

We've already been treated to three huge CES announcements from BLUETTI. Off-grid living is never going to be the same again.

CES 2022: BLUETTI and the Portable Power Solutions of Our Dreams

BLUETTI has officially pulled out all of the stops. The brand's big CES announcement introduces the world to four showstoppers:

  • The BLUETTI NA300 sodium-ion solar generator
  • The accompanying BLUETTI B480 battery pack
  • The BLUETTI EB3A, the latest in mini portable power

It's one heck of a line-up. Let's dive in.

BLUETTI Unveils the NA300 Sodium-Ion Solar Generator

First up on the block: the all-new NA300 sodium-ion solar generator, the first of its kind in the entire industry.

Some features of note include:

  • Four 20A ports
  • One 30A L14-30 port
  • A 3,000 watt pure sine wave inverter
  • Up to 3,000 watts of continuous solar input
  • A storage capacity of 3,000 watt-hours
  • Support for up to two external B480 batteries
  • Can be controlled remotely via smartphone
  • Compatible with all BLUETTI power accessories

At its side, you'll also find the B480 battery pack, another brand new offering announced just in time for the biggest tech event of the year.

With up to 4,800 watt-hours of energy storage to play with, these external cells will help you keep the party rolling on anywhere, even through the dead of winter. Where other conventional battery cells falter in the cold, sodium-ion batteries stand strong.

This duo was designed to supersede its predecessor, the BLUETTI EP500. The BLUETTI NA300 outpaces the EP500 Pro most notably in terms of solar input potential, boasting an additional 600 watts of continuous solar input.

The NA300 can recharge itself from 0% to 80% in as little as a half hour with both AC and solar input. With two B480 sodium-ion batteries in tow, you're able to expand the solar system's storage capacity to a grand total of 12,600 watt-hours.

You can buy your own system to keep on-hand for emergencies, but the NA300 solar generator is also perfect for camping, wilderness excursions, or even just for a big party on the beach.

Expanding the system with a BLUETTI Fusion Box Pro doubles your power storage capacity; you can use it to rig two NA300s together, just like you would with two BLUETTI AC300 power stations. Grid failures, natural disasters, and even just your average power outage stand no chance.

Before getting too far ahead of ourselves, though, we should probably clarify: what exactly is a sodium-ion battery?

The Next Generation of Energy Storage: Sodium-Ion Battery Technology

A graph depicting the advantages of a sodium-ion battery.

Sodium-ion batteries are nothing new—where BLUETTI goes above and beyond, however, is in the technology's implementation within a solar power system specifically. It's the first of its kind, and it's got a lot of people talking.

Other BLUETTI power systems utilize something called a LiFePO4 battery, short for lithium iron phosphate. What's the difference? Energy density, to name one thing. Apples to apples, you've got much more storage capacity per square inch.

Sodium-ion cells are notoriously lightweight and compact, and they're usually much cheaper to produce. You'll be glad to hear that they're also the environmentally responsible choice to make. Why?

In a sodium-ion cell, sodium replaces what would ordinarily be lithium, which is scarcer and much more environmentally-taxing to extract. Not only will your solar-derived source of energy be cleaner and greener—the batteries themselves are much less of a problem, even after you're done with them for good.

The BLUETTI APEX: What Can the AC500 Do?

The long-anticipated BLUETTI APEX is finally being released to the public, in tandem with its own personal battery module: the BLUETTI B301, a lithium iron phosphate battery with a storage capacity of 3,072 watt-hours per pop. It's been two years, and we're just as excited to see this solar system in action as you are.

We'll lay out the tech specs, just so you can see the numbers:

  • A 5,000 watt pure sine wave inverter
  • 5,000 watts of continuous AC input
  • 3,000 watts of continuous solar input
  • Simultaneous AC and solar Turbo Charging
  • Backward-compatibility with the B300 battery cell

The BLUETTI APEX AC500's 5,000 watt pure sine wave inverter is the most powerful to date in the entire BLUETTI catalog. This model includes everything we love about the AC300 that came before it, with a few notable exceptions.

The BLUETTI B301 battery cell.

One of these exceptions: the APEX AC500 boasts an external cell capacity of up to six external B301 battery units, adding up to 18,432 watt-hours of pure, portable power.

After one hour of BLUETTI Turbo Charging, you'll be able to run an air conditioner for eight hours. Even with as little as one hour of AC or solar input alone, you'll be able to work off of a desktop computer for nearly six hours total.

Factor in the BLUETTI Smart Home Power Panel and split-phase bonding courtesy of a Fusion Box Pro, and you've got everything you need to take your entire household off of the grid. Nothing will be too big for your BLUETTI solar system to handle.

Last, But Far From Least: The BLUETTI EB3A

The BLUETTI EB3A at CES 2022.

For huge power without the bulky brick, BLUETTI's most portable power solution yet has officially hit the stage: the BLUETTI EB3A, right in line with the rest of BLUETTI's mini portable power stations. The EB3A is making its worldwide debut at CES this year, and it looks like a must-have for campers, day-trippers, and outdoor enthusiasts alike.

Its 600 watt pure sine wave inverter and a 268 watt-hour LiFePO4 battery are capable of up to 200 watts of continuous solar input, making it one of the most powerful in its class. This all-in-one power station requires only one cable; you'll be able to charge it up to 80% capacity in as little as 20 minutes.

The A? It stands for advanced. They're not kidding—just like everything else in the BLUETTI family, the EB3A makes the grade. It's affordable, convenient, and never leaves us high and dry. What's not to love?

CES 2022: BLUETTI, We've Been Waiting All Year for This

They're hip. They're full-throttle. They're dangerously attractive. If you aspire to one day remove yourself from the grid entirely, you'll find everything that you need to get the ball rolling with BLUETTI.

Even if you're just trying to get away from the urban sprawl for the weekend, you can trek anywhere with confidence with the right gear. Any BLUETTI solar power station will be more than enough to see you through.

Ready to get started? You can have your entire household off-grid and completely covered by this time tomorrow, or at least as soon as the delivery hits your driveway.
